In 2008, AGIR first came together as a working group of Coalition MultiMundo, a diverse coalition supporting LGBTQ ethnic organisations in the Montreal area. Since this time, we’ve organized monthly info/social gatherings and one-on-one support. In March 2011, AGIR transitioned to become a non-profit organisation with the aim of providing support and community organizing with LGBTQ newcomers.
