Translation

When you are preparing for your hearing, you may need some documents translated. Remember that the translations can be done by a professional translator or interpreter, a trusted friend, a family member or a volunteer at a refugee-serving organization. Your lawyer may suggest a translator for your documents, but you don’t have to use the one they suggest.

In some cases, you’ll need a “Certified Translation” provided by a member of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ).
